On May 15th–16th, 2015 the GS Group holding company named the developers for its own gaming platform during the DevGAMM Moscow 2015 international conference. Amongst them are Herocraft, Alawar and other well-known companies. Representatives of the holding company presented Development Kit for games on-boarding for the new platform to the game industry leaders. The second advanced prototype of a gaming console developed by GS Group was also presented at the conference.

A unique digital device that combines the functionality of game console and a satellite HD set-top box was presented to the mobile games market experts for the first time in January 2015. In the meantime GS Group started an active search for game developers for its own gaming platform powered by the Android OS. For the moment, GS Group has already reached tentative agreements on games development and prototyping with a range of global leaders in this sphere including Creative Mobile, Herocraft, Steel Monkeys, and Alawar. At the DevGAMM Moscow 2015 conference, the GS Group holding company presented the Software Development Kit (SDK) and console prototype with accompanying devices to representatives of the leading game developers.

The new game console developed by GS Group allows playing games of all genres either individually or online and provides opportunity to watch satellite channels in Full HD. Innovative functionality of the device would be available to subscribers of the leading Russian satellite operator Tricolor TV. The new console prototype that was presented at DevGAMM Moscow 2015 includes the option of a fully featured game console operating without the connection to satellite TV.

GS Group continues to engage developers of games compatible with the new platform. The authors of interesting projects would be provided with a full Development Kit and the ability to place the games in the application store for free. The games would be available for download to the widest subscriber base. The project has been developed specifically for the leading Russian satellite operator Tricolor TV, where an active subscriber base exceeds 11 million households. Moreover, several ways of game monetization will be proposed to developers, including the free-to-play business model and premium versions. The authors of game projects that seem most interesting to the holding company may receive investment support from the GS Venture corporate venture fund.

“DevGAMM attracts both young and experienced game developers, who are searching for a publisher or an investor for the further project promotion. GS Group is open to cooperation and invites talented authors to join the project. Development of the console and gaming platform is almost complete and the new device will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015,” – says Tatiana Mikhalevskaya, Head of the project.
